However, they specifically mentioned the First Saturdays by name to be spread.<\/li><li>On February 15, 1926, in referring to the <i style=\"font-weight: inherit;\">First Saturdays\u00a0<\/i><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">in reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the Child Jesus said to Sr. Lucia:<br \/><\/span><b style=\"font-style: inherit;\">\u201c<\/b><b style=\"font-style: inherit;\">Have you spread throughout the world, that which the Heavenly Mother requested?<\/b><b style=\"font-style: inherit;\">\u201d<\/b><\/li><li>We can understand this question to ask whether we ourselves have spread the <i style=\"font-weight: inherit;\">First Saturdays<\/i><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">. Please help answer Jesus\u2019 question.<\/span><\/li><li>Please also see what Sr. Lucia said about spreading the <i style=\"font-weight: inherit;\">First Saturdays<\/i><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">:<\/span><ul><li>\u201cWar or Peace of the world depends upon the practice of this devotion joined with the consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Hence I would want it\u00a0<b>spread<\/b>, and, above all because it is the desire of our good Lord and our so dear mother in heaven\u2026\u201d(<i>Documents on Fatima &amp; the Memoirs of Sister Lucia <\/i>by Fr. Martins &amp; Fr. Fox, 2002, p. 367; emphasis ours).<\/li><li>\u201cOur Lady promised to [hold back]\u00a0the scourge of War if this devotion were spread and practiced. We will see her warding off this chastisement in the measure people will take the pain to\u00a0<b>spread\u00a0<\/b>the devotion, although I am afraid we are not doing as much as we could and God, not too happy, might raise his arm of Mercy and let the world be destroyed by this punishment, which as never been before shall be,\u00a0<i>horrible<\/i>,\u00a0<i>horrible\u201d\u00a0<\/i>(<i>Documents on Fatima &amp; the Memoirs of Sister Lucia\u00a0<\/i>by Fr.
