Fatima and the First Saturdays Pilgrimage 2026

Fatima & the First Saturdays Pilgrimage 2026

Join us this coming September 30th to October 10th, 2026 on our very special Catholic pilgrimage “Fatima and the First Saturdays” to Portugal and Spain. This year, we are celebrating the Vatican-declared Jubilee year of the First Saturdays devotion. The Jubilee year began on December 10, 2025 and will continue until December 11, 2026. It began on the 100th Anniversary of the apparition that took place in Pontevedra, Spain on December 10, 1925, where Our Lord and Our Lady asked Sister Lucia for the First Saturdays devotion. This devotion has its origins at Fatima, Portugal where Our Lady appeared six times to the three little children in 1917. The Communal First Saturdays Apostolate is commemorating this Jubilee year with this very special pilgrimage that will help you learn and ask for Our Lady’s intercession directly at the very places that the Fatima and Pontevedra apparitions and locutions took place.

The picture above was taken in Valinhos in Fatima, where the Angel of Peace appeared for the 1st and 3rd time to Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta in 1916. This is one of the Pilgrimage’s destinations.

What is so interesting about this Pilgrimage?

This will be a Catholic pilgrimage like no other. We will deepen our faith by understanding and practicing the shortcuts to become a saint following the footsteps of the three little shepherds of Fatima: Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco. Also, during the pilgrimage, we will visit the places where Our Lady appeared to the three little children. At one of these sites, Our Lady revealed the Secret to the three little children on July 13, 1917. The second part of this secret includes the First Saturdays Devotion. Our Lady said she would come back to ask for this. Our Lady with the Child Jesus did come back to ask for the First Saturdays Devotion on December 10, 1925 in Pontevedra, Spain. The Holy Trinity and Our Lady of Fatima also appeared to Sr. Lucia on June 13, 1929 in Tuy, Spain.

The Fatima story is incomplete if we do not talk about what happened in Pontevedra and Tuy, Spain, where the First Saturdays devotion was asked to be done and spread. We will blessed to visit both of these apparition sites.

This beautiful spiritual  journey will take place as we visit Fatima, Lisbon, Santarem (where we will see the Eucharistic Miracle), Coimbra, Balasar, and Braga in Portugal. We will also visit Santiago de Compostela, Tuy, and Pontevedra in Spain. We will visit the Chapel of Apparitions at Fatima, the house of Sts. Jacinta and Francisco, the Eucharistic Miracle in Santarem, the house of Bl. Alexandrina Da Costa, the orphanage where St. Jacinta stayed, the Chapel of Apparitions in Pontevedra, and many more (all the different places are described in the itinerary below!).

Are you ready for this spiritual experience where you will learn the true heart of the Message of Fatima and what has been overlooked? Are you also ready for this spiritual experience where you will learn the true key to peace, not only for the world, but for your very own self and families?

Special Characteristics about this Pilgrimage

  • We will experience a memorable and unique way of the power of community prayer.
  • We will be immersed in the spiritual truth and way that will lead us all closer to the Holy Trinity.
  • We will understand Our Lord’s and Our Lady’s request for the spread of the First Saturdays Devotion, which they asked for 100 years ago.
  • We will learn how to apply the key advice from the Angel of Fatima and Our Lady herself by learning the easy ways to be instrumental in saving another person’s soul.
  • We will also have the opportunity to raise our prayers to the Lord through very special moments of prayer and processions that will genuinely invite us to increase our love of neighbor.

This wonderful opportunity will allow us to learn more about the Fatima Message, love the message and take action on the message!

Who is leading this Pilgrimage?

All of this and much more will be possible with the extraordinary help of Dr. Katrina Leyden, President and Co-Founder of the Communal First Saturdays Apostolate, Dr. Tim McTigue, Vice-president of the Communal First Saturdays Apostolate, and Paola Rodriguez, our Assistant general manager and Fatima and the First Saturdays Study Group Coordinator. Msgr. Adam McClosky from the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston will be the chaplain.

Testimonials

Ford C., IL

This Fatima pilgrimage not only takes you on a literal journey that retraces the steps the three children Jacinta, Francisco and Lucia traveled, but also, and more importantly, reveals to you the spiritual purpose and action steps Our Lord and Our Lady are asking of the children, and by way of them of us as well.

It is not just a pilgrimage but a spiritual revelation that will change how you view the world and the purpose of your life in this world.

It is the pilgrimage of pilgrimages where you are indeed a pilgrim experiencing the true message of Fatima as the Angel of Peace, Our Lady and Our Lord intended for you to know, embrace and live the message they brought.

An unforgettable collage of Holy Moments!

Dyna C., TX

The Fatima pilgrimage was a profound transformation of my heart and my entire well‑being through Jesus Christ and our Blessed Mother. It exceeded my expectations in every way. I had been to Fatima before on a previous pilgrimage, but this one was by far the most meaningful.

Dr. Katrina and the CFSA [Communal First Saturdays Apostolate] community dedicated their time, knowledge, and love to guide us through the complete Fatima message—from beginning to end. We experienced the beautiful spiritual connections between Fatima, Tuy, and Pontevedra, and you can feel the presence and message of the Blessed Mother in each of these sacred places.

This pilgrimage also offered a powerful opportunity to grow in prayer, to truly listen, and to form new friendships with faithful companions on the journey.

I wholeheartedly recommend this pilgrimage. It has the power to transform you into a renewed person filled with faith, trust, and a deeper relationship with our Lord Jesus—who remains the center of my life.

Carita C., TX

The Fatima Pilgrimage was such a blessing that brought me closer to Jesus and the Blessed Mother. I realized in a deeper way the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist and how much the Blessed Mother loves me.

Aurora M., TX

This pilgrimage exceeded my expectations. All of it was amazing. I truly appreciate the level of detail, planning, and expertise offered by the leaders/organizers. I could feel their passion and love for the Blessed Mother and Christ Jesus. The spiritual feeling was beyond words. It touched every aspect of my life and its impact will continue. I would recommend this pilgrimage to everyone. From a logistics stand point, the places we visited were incredible and meaningful to the experience, and it was all so well organized. Could not ask for anything better. This pilgrimage was one of the best experiences I have had. THANK YOU!

Jorge W., Mexico

Experiencing and reliving the profound joy of God’s Mercy through the details of Our Mother, the Ever-Virgin Mary, in Fatima, with Jacinta, Francisco, and Lucia, makes this Pilgrimage indescribable.

Not forgetting the gratifying emotion of being in the home of Alexandrina Maria da Costa and serving at the church of her birthplace in Balazar.

For so many years I have prayed the Holy Rosary, and I never imagined doing so in the places where Our Mother asks us to intensify this beautiful devotion to obtain peace and feel filled with God.

Learning from the teachings of the Angel in the exact places where he prepared the illiterate shepherd children for the great occasions and teachings of Our Mother Mary.

This Pilgrimage was a true blessing, rewarding, and spiritually edifying experience, as well as professional, thanks to the organizers who emphasized every detail to ensure we could visit the places where all the memorable events unfolded and recreate the teachings of the prayers throughout the journey. Emelita B., Phillippines

Participating in the First Saturday Devotion has truly deepened my faith and love for the Blessed Virgin Mary. At first, I didn’t fully understand its meaning, but as I continued, I felt a sense of peace and closeness to God. Through confession, the Holy Rosary, and receiving the Holy Eucharist, I learned to reflect on my actions and offer my prayers for the forgiveness of sins. This devotion taught me the value of consistency in faith and the beauty of offering small sacrifices for others. Every first Saturday has become a special moment for me to renew my heart and strengthen my relationship with God and Mama Mary.
