The message from Our Lady promises personal salvation to those who console her on five consecutive First Saturdays. To obtain her promise of a period of peace and the salvation of many souls, further reparation is needed by the First Saturdays Devotion. However, to obtain the promise of personal salvation, why does Our Lady ask for five consecutive First Saturdays?
On May 29, 1930, Jesus said to Sr. Lucia:
“There are 5 ways in which people offend and blaspheme against the Immaculate Heart of Mary:
- The blasphemies against the Immaculate Conception.
This reminds us that Our Lady was conceived without original sin but also that she existed as a person at her conception. Hence, she had the right to life.
- Against her Virginity.
Our Lady’s Virginity was a condition for the Incarnation and also reminds us of the importance of chastity.
- Against the Divine Maternity, refusing at the same time to accept her as the Mother of all mankind.
This third kind of offense not only against the Divine Maternity buy also against Our Lady as our Spiritual Mother. The belief that Our Lady is the Mother of God defends the dogma of that Jesus is God, the foundation of all that we brought us Salvation. Further, such sins against Mary’s Motherhood attacks all motherhood of which Our Lady is the exemplar. If one attacks the vest mother of all, one attacks all mothers. Also, honoring Our Lady’s Motherhood should strengthen one’s commitment to preserving the life of the unborn child. For Our Lady’s motherhood inspires an appreciation of one’s own motherhood in caring for the child.
Such sins against the Immaculate Heart of Mary can lead to a form of feminism which downgrades motherhood and virginity.
- Those who publicly seek to instill in the children’s hearts, indifference, contempt, and even hatred against the Immaculate Mother.
This sin refers to something done publicly. One of the ways this is done is by the blasphemies against Our Lady spread through the various media. This is something that we can associate with the workings of Satan. Remember that there is enmity between te woman and the serpent (Gen. 3:15).
- Those who offend her directly in her Sacred Images.”
The Communal First Saturdays extends this reparation further by the Pilgrim Virgin Statue Church to Home Visitation following the 15-minute meditation. Through this devotion, Our Lady weeks to extend the reign of the Sacred Heart of her Son in the homes of the faithful.
